In our culture today, we idolize action.
We praise people for their busyness. “I just don’t know how she does it all!”
We idolize them if they can get by on less sleep than we need. “Oh, you’re so lucky!”
We use the word hustle and grind like they are good things. “I wish I had that kind of ambition and drive.”
And action isn’t bad! I’m not here to bash on action!
Action is necessary, but it’s not the only priority!
The trouble is, we are busy trying to force ourselves to take action that is out of alignment.
We get an idea in our head of something we think we need to do and we decide to “make it happen.”
We make a plan to work out every day or start a new eating plan and fail after a week.
We decide to promote our business in Facebook groups, but end up spending hours down the rabbit hole without gaining any new prospects.
We are convinced we need to do live broadcasts on social media, but we put off ever getting started.
Can you relate to any of these? Is anything else coming up for you?
It’s because these actions are out of alignment at the time.
When it’s too much work or you’re trying to force it, you know you’re on the WRONG TRACK.
But instead of realizing we need a new approach, we berate ourselves for not having more willpower and determination to just push through.
When it’s aligned action, you don’t have to work so hard.
You don’t need a do or die attitude when you have alignment on your side.
Doing one thing that is in alignment with your soul and your purpose is more powerful than doing 100 things because you feel you “should” or “need to” do them to be successful.
Inspired action is where it’s at.
That’s where all the power is! Leverage the magic of the universe.
Use synchronicity and flow to get more done in far less time.
OMG – that sounds wonderful, but HOW on earth do we do it?
Here are a few experiments to try to bring yourself into alignment on a daily basis:
Meditate for at least 15 minutes a day. Some people are going to cringe when I mention mediation, but I don’t want to hear your excuses. LOL. Do yourself a favor and try it. If there’s one single thing to make yourself do, it’s meditation. You won’t have to force it for long because soon you won’t want to start your day without it. The benefits are too many to count. Meditation is the quickest way to get in touch with the Truth of who you are, and that is what will bring you into alignment.
Decide you will mostly work in your zone of genius and don’t deviate unless it is absolutely necessary. When you’re outside of your zone of genius you feel the need to “make” yourself do things. When you’re in your zone, everything is flow and it feels like magic. Things are falling into place, the right people pop into your experience, and you build this momentum that’s more powerful than anything you’ve experienced before.
Set an intention to let your intuition lead you and then follow every breadcrumb. Your intuition knows you and where you want to go. If you let it, it will lead you there in the most efficient, effective way possible. Trust it. Trust yourself. And follow the breadcrumbs. Before long, you’ll look up and see the big picture and how it’s all working for you.
Only act from a place of possibility and positivity, not from scarcity or fear. When you get what feels like an inspired idea, ask yourself, what was my mood / energy like right before the thought came to me? If you were sitting in desperation or fear, the idea will not be as powerful as if you were sitting in ease and trust. Over time, you will learn to discern where the impulses are coming from.
I want you to live in the magic of life.
I want all of us to know that we don’t have to work so hard.
No more beating our heads against a wall. That is not the path to anything good.
As they say – the journey informs the destination. In other words, if you aren’t enjoying the journey, you won’t enjoy your life once you achieve the goal.
